Harry - it's magic

Treat people with kindness

Treat people with kindness

Insiders know which Harry I mean – "Harry Styles". For me, the first concert since a long break for a child and family, and for our daughter the first concert of her life.

Before that, I knew the name and the songs from "passing by" at the radio. Sometime before the concert, our daughter gave me a very colorful pair of tie-dye pants in a 70s look. You can't just go to a Harry Styles concert in normal attire. Well, then, the crazy tie-dye pants. And somehow, the magic started when I slipped into my tie-dye pants at home and put blue eye shadow on. It's liberating to be allowed to be a little crazy. While driving to the venue, I got a quick Harry update from my passenger; Harry is a proven feminist, which already earns him the first big plus, and he is also committed to the Colorful in the world, not only in fashion but also in sexuality, in the coexistence of people. Everyone is allowed to be who they are. These are all statements that I find essential and correct.

We were enveloped by an atmosphere I had never experienced before when we arrived at the stadium. Selfies were taken together - and even more colorfully dressed, wrapped in feather boas, with an incomparable expression of happiness on their faces. We stood at the "merch store" for an hour, like many other female teenagers and their mothers. But no one was pushing, and no one was bothered when someone else was faster to move forward than he or she was.

Finally, he appeared on the stage – Harry Styles. "It's a family show – or is it?!" was his message that night and beyond. The fact that this is not an empty promise is underlined, among other things, by the fact that part of the proceeds from each concert is donated to a charity organization. The atmosphere I already felt outside the stadium was topped once again by an artist who knows how to make everyone in this big room feel essential – and right, just the way they are. Many people are jealous of him for this ability, as can be read from some reports about him. I admire this character trait. In addition, I think our world needs people like Harry Styles: "We can't change the world, but we can make it a little bit better".

La-ola waves swept through the stadium, in which even the firefighters, sitting on the roof of their car, took part. A spectator dressed as a koala bear encouraged many people to dance together. The pink clouds adorned the sky above the concert venue all evening, taking “harries” on this dream journey of a peaceful world.

When you think about how many unnecessary and painful conflicts we have to deal with, you wish more people managed to unite a large crowd peacefully. When I imagine the initiators of "peace negotiations" in the political arena, I would like to see more "Harry Styles" conducting such negotiations for world peace. Of course, pragmatism and seriousness are also required, but visions drive the real milestones that improve the world.

That will remain a pious wish. But let us take the message with us. It is so important to think positively and have the courage to dream of visions and implement them. Because you can also fail sometimes. With this knowledge in the background, we should be braver to stand up for our beliefs, dreams, and visions and thereby make the world a little better. Just like Harry Styles – it's magic.

Thank you, Harry!
